Largely hand-built, the car joined the Oldsmobile 98 Fiesta and Cadillac Series 62 Eldorado as a celebration of GM's artisanship and design excellence.
Of the three, the Skylark was the most successful with 1,690 units produced, even though its base price was nearly double that of a standard Roadmaster convertible, the platform on which it was based on.
Nearly every standard production option came standard on the Skylark, and a 322ci 'Fireball' V8 and a twin-turbine 'Dyna-Flow' transmission was the only drivetrain on offer.
Its easy to understand how enthusiasts and investors alike appreciate these vehicles for their rakish styling, impressive luxury, and, of course, their rarity.
Today, these cars are the perfect choice for a night out on the town or a local car show.
1953 models are, in particular, some of the most collectible Buicks from this era, and perhaps the most noteworthy of the models to wear the 'Skylark' nameplate.
The spectacular 1953 Buick Skylark Convertible featured here is finished in stunning Carlsbad Black over a Red & White leather interior with a Black power-folding convertible top.
This investment-grade Buick Skylark has been restored to an extremely high level and is now ready to be shown or driven.
It's with great pride we offer what we believe to be one of the very best Skylark convertibles on the market today.
These factory custom-built Skylarks are among one of the most collectible and sought after of just about any American classic.
Because of this, I personally the investment potential of this iconic motorcar will grow beyond your imagination.
We are excited to offer this exceptional convertible to the most demanding collector, investor, or enthusiast who desires to own one of the very best!.
