WOODGRAIN DASH CONVERTIBLE BOOT COVER CHROME WIRE WHEELS LEATHER INTERIOR FOUR-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION Introduced in 1961, the Triumph TR4 offered distinct improvements on its predecessor the TR3, despite using many of the same chassis and drivetrain components.
The primary difference was the body, which was an entirely new design courtesy of Giovanni Michelotti.
Adjustable fascia ventilation, wind-up windows, and imitation wood dash trim offered a touch of luxury while rack-and-pinion steering, a full synchromesh four-speed manual transmission, and a 2.
2L Inline-4 with dual SU carburetors ensured the car was plenty peppy.
By 1965, it was time for another update, and Triumph released the revised TR4A.
While appearing nearly identical to the original TR4, the TR4A was substantially revised due to a new independent rear suspension.
The car was slightly wider and a fair bit heavier, which was offset somewhat by adjusted cylinder head and manifold designs for a net power increase of around ten percent.
While British buyers enjoyed IRS as standard, the suspension was an optional extra on American cars.
With or without, these cars are exceptionally fun to drive and offer a tactile experience modern sports cars can't match.
The impressive 1966 Triumph TR4A Roadster featured here is finished in gorgeous Pure White over a Matador Red leather interior and a Black folding convertible top.
This exquisite motorcar was just released from a prominent collection and is now ready for its next caretaker.
Because of this car's exceptional condition, I personally the investment potential will grow beyond your imagination.
We proudly offer this superb Triumph TR4A to the most demanding collector, investor, or enthusiast who desires to own one of the very best!.
